I created this collection for my lovely Aunt. She's mildly obsessed with my cookies, by her own admission, and orders them often. She requested these so she could give them to a few new lawyers in her firm that just passed the Bar Exam. I created a suitcase, complete with fine stitching; the Scales of Justice; and a gavel. Since they had just graduated, she wanted to add some coordinating graduation cookies as well.

First, I hope you like changes, because I sure do! I can't seem to go much more than a month before I start re-designing my blog. I hope you don't mind. I guess that's what make me such a great cookie designer - I love to try new things! On to todays post then, I made these for a little girl that was turning one. The mother requested this color palate, but otherwise left the design up to me. Have I ever mentioned before how much I love it when people tell me to do whatever I want with their cookies? No? Well, it's awesome! I kept it sweet and simple though, like the colors. Little flowers, stripes and polka dots. The client opted to add the favor gift packaging and the matching bite size cookies. They were definitely a hit!

Here is another cutter I got in the baby section at Walmart - a puzzle cutter! This is not easy to do - have puzzle pieces fit back together after baking. I made one plain, just to play with - and one message cookie. The cookies come in pieces and you have to put them together to read the message! I thought this would be a great inexpensive birthday or thank you gift.

I've been finding a lot of cute cookie cutters at Walmart lately. I'm not joking! I stumbled upon a display of sandwich cutters in the baby aisle when I was picking up some diapers. Here is one of the cookies I made from those sets -

This was a project I LOVED! My client requested I try to follow the theme of their daughter's birthday party invitation. The invitation was created by GwynnWassonDesigns, and was so adorable, the cookie just had to be perfect! My client had already purchased a large cookie cutter she wanted to use, and it matched the invitation perfectly. I copied the bottom left hand corner of the invitation onto the elephant, using the wet on wet technique. I can't wait to see all of the pictures from the party!
